FAI Umbro Junior Cup
7th round
FAI Press release:
Rep. of Ireland's Stephen Hunt and The Star's MD Paul Cooke made the 7th Round Draw of the FAI Umbro Junior Cup on 2FM, Stephen had a special interest in the draw with his former club Carrick Utd. and holders of the cup being drawn away to St. Peters of Athlete. There are two all Dublin ties with Crumlin Utd. entertaining Ballymun Utd. while Sheriff Utd. await the winners of the Coolock Town/St. Vincents tie.
Evergreen of Kilkenny will draw big crowd for their tie against past winners Fairview Rgs. while the other Limerick team Janesboro will fancy another Tipperary scalp when they entertain Clonmel Town. Michael Carr of Lisselton Celtic breathed a sigh of relief when they got a home draw against the winners of Glengad Utd. and City Utd. Kinsale will entertain Erris from Mayo the surprise team in this years competition while Bohemians from Waterford await the winners of Douglas Hall/Regional.
There are a lot of interesting games to be played for a place in the last 8 and while a home draw is a huge incentive to progress there are no guarantees to advance.
