Thanks a million to Plunkett for the following info:
As you said difficult question
Davy Morris (Castleview)– Irish International, 4 AOH cup, 3 League. MJC, FAI runners-up plus Presidents, Saxone, Shield, O’Keeffe etc
Sean O’Leary (Castleview) just one AOH less than Davy.
Bertie Lane 5 Prem League, MJC, Intermediate Shield, Corinthians, Champions, Linnane.
*****Seanie Welsh 4 Premier League (Temple), FAI Jun Cup r/u, MJC winners, 4 Intermediate League plus 2 Prem League (Greenmt), AOH Cup and all other domestic trophies. Previously Sean won double with Western in 1984.
Shane McSweeny – MJC , 3 AOH Cup, 5 Prem League, Clean sweep all Intermediate trophies with Temple in 1994. Plus most domestic trophies with Greemmount.
Ricken, Denis Keane, Ger Butler (Temple) would have same haul as Seanie Walsh who would have won the extras with Greenmount.
Could be others

Most honured player in AUL.
ReplyDeleteJust to follow Plunkett's comments. A hard one to pick. Being a Castleview man I know that Seanie Leary had 28 AUL medals and Davy Morris 27 medals during their playing career. Davy played in a record 8 AOH cup finals. I would think that St.Mary's would have a few guys with a lot of medals. Maybe Liam Hawkins or one of the Healy brothers. Mary's had a great record through the 70's and 80's. Junior teams in the 60's,70's and 80's also seemed to get a good run in the FAI Junior cup. Castleview, Mary's and Temple played in a lot of Semi's and finals over the years unfortunately none winning. Ringmahon would have had great teams in the 60's and won a lot of AUL trophies. They would have had a couple of players in contention except they eventually moved to the senior league, winning an amazing 7 Senior leagues in 8 years. I would think the most decorated would have to be from either Castleview, St.Mary's, Temple or Greenmount. Probably a few close from Kinsale or Leeside.
