CORK AUL PLAYER ANNOUNCES HIS INTENTION TO RUN IN GENERAL ELECTION
Cork AUL player Pádraig
O Sullivan has announced that he is running as an Independent candidate in the Cork North Central Constituency. Like so many of us he has become infuriated by this government and the political system in general and he desires real change. He believes that political reform is crucial as well as the issues of health, water, job creation, taxation and education. Padraig has worked as a teacher for 5 years in Glanmire, Fermoy and Ballincollig.Pádraig has played for Leeside since he was young and had a years stint at Knockraha in between. Nephew of club founder Jimmy O Sullivan Sr and cousin of Jimmy Barr Pádraig has been heavily involved with the playing and committee side of affairs at Leeside.He has been a member of the Leeside A team for 3 years now and was on the Munster Junior Cup winning side of 2008.Normally a centre back but has played full back on occassion too. He spent 5 years training successful Leeside and Leeside/Knockraha youths teams with reasonable success, winning the youths Division 1 title in 2009.
