Here’s a review on Tuesday’s games.
Premier: Kinsale still remain unbeaten after ten games and came out on top on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Coachford with goals from Sean Lyons and Steve Goulding.
But, it was not all a bed of roses as they had to come from behind to grind out their win.
Wilton also continued their solid form but, had to come from behind also to win out 3-1 away to Ballyvolane who must now put up a brave fight to avoid relegation.
Macroom had a huge 2-1 win over Knockavilla which separated them from the teams below them battling relegation.
Blarney Street had a comfortable 5-0 win at home against Grattan.
Here’s the way top and bottom looks now.
1. Leeside P16 Pts 33 18 games to be played
2. Wilton P14 Pts 32
3. Blarney St P17 Pts 31
4. Coachford P16 Pts 27
5. Kinsale P10 Pts 26
Here’s how the bottom looks like.
Macroom P15 Pts 18
Knockavilla P16 Pts 13
Ballyvolane P15 Pts 12
Grattan P16 Pts 3
LEESIDE WILL PLAY PARK UNITED ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN THEIR PREMIER CLASH AT BRIGOWN.
Premier A: Killumney did the business tonight away to Bohemians when they ran out 2-1 winners to chalk up another victory in their efforts to go for the title.
Here’s the way it looks now at the top.
1. Greenwood A P18 Pts 38 18 games to be played.
2. Killumney P14 Pts 34
So, as you can see, all Killumney need now to win the title is 5 points from 4 games.
Not a very difficult task. One thing is for sure both Greenwood and Killumney are promoted anyway.
AUL 3: The most important game to take notice of in this section was Leeside C at home to Carrigtwohill. Well, they ran out 3-1 winners to put themselves right in there with a big chance to take the title. But, take a look now at this section at the minute.
1. Leeside C P21 Pts 40 22 games to be played
2. Cork Rd Clt P21 Pts 40
3. De Courcy P21 Pts 39
4. Boscos P20 Pts 37
No need for me to point out how exciting this one is.
Watch this space once again next Thursday night where I will have all the results along with the usual review.
