Great Occasion at the Aviva
Made my first visit to the Aviva Stadium last Wednesday for the Polish game. I really enjoyed the occasion and great to see so many Polish people, including a large contingent from Cork, at the game. The red and white flags dominated on the routes to the stadium and in the impressive stadium itself before the game. And it looked as if the Poles would have a victory to celebrate as they dominated the first half hour. But Ciaran Clarke's goal changed all that and Ireland were unlucky not to get more than Wes Houlihan's gem during the second half. Great to see so many skillful players in the green and here's hoping the goals continue next month.
Final score: Ireland 2 Poland 0
