PEARSE CELTIC WIN IN ROSCOMMON.
Pearse Celtic are into the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup after another terrific performance on the road saw them overcome Moore United from Roscommon 4-2 on Penalties after it was 1-1 over extra time.
Pearse were well on top in a first half that saw Ross Kelleher fire them in front in the 30th minute and it remained like that until the 83rd minute when Moore United forced the game into extra time with an equaliser.
Both sides had their moments over the next 20 minutes, but when it came to the shoot-out, Pearse made their mark and can now look forward to further involvement in the competition as they look ahead to the 7th Round.
It's a great achievement by the Cork side who once again have done the AUL proud.
